Disclaimer

The Davenport Civil Rights Commission (DCRC) receives, investigates, and resolves individual complaints alleging discrimination in violation of Davenport's anti-discrimination law, Chapter 2.58 of the Davenport Municipal Code.

- The Davenport Civil Rights Ordinance prohibits discrimination in 5 areas: Employment, Housing, Public Accommodation, Education and Credit.

- Any person who believes that they have been discriminated against in violation of the Davenport Civil Rights Ordinance may file with the DCRC.

- The complaint must be filed within 300 days of the alleged discriminatory practice for employment, public accommodation, education and credit complaints, and no later than 1 year for housing complaints. Filing is the first step in the complaint process.

- The DCRC is a neutral, objective law enforcement agency.

- Assistance is available to either party upon request. Please contact the DCRC at 563-326-7888 for help in obtaining forms, filling out complaint forms or if you have questions about questionnaires.

- Please be aware complaints electronically filed after business hours will be marked as received the next business day. The electronic complaint forms allows you only 20 minutes of inactivity and then you will have to start over. There is no “save now and submit later” option for this form.
